HLSA regular, Stan Marett, took third place at the 3rd Annual Medtech Symposium and Pitch Competition on May 3rd, 2019. This year’s competition was titled, Growing to Success: Startup and Beyond, and was presented by the Temple Health and Bioscience District. Stan’s (pictured at far right with the other winners) presentation was on his company, MR3Health, which offers a remote patient monitoring service (RPM) aimed at preventing diabetic foot ulcers and was named by Tech Tribune as one of the top 10 tech startups in San Antonio for 2019. Congratulations Stan!

HLSA has proudly adopted two prominent local charities to add our own support to their incredible missions. From time to time, we will be inviting their representatives to our events to learn more about their service to others.
Ronald McDonald House Charities of San Antonio provides a safe and caring home away from home for the families of children receiving essential medical services in San Antonio, Texas. Families are stronger when they stay together.
Morgan’s Inclusion Initiative is more than a nonprofit organization; it’s a movement of inclusion. Our organization oversees five fully-inclusive, Ultra-AccessibleTM facilities where individuals of all ages and all abilities can come together for recreation and a better understanding of one another: World Famous Morgan’s Wonderland Theme Park, Morgan’s Inspiration Island Splash Park, Morgan’s Wonderland Sports, Morgan’s Wonderland Camp, and The MAC at Morgan’s Wonderland. Individuals with disabilities are not charged for park admission or navigation services.
